Porsche Recalls 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera 4 for Exhaust Issue

Recently the German automaker held true to its values and issued a recall on the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera 4 ensuring driver can get the most out of their vehicle.

Why were the aforementioned Porsche models recalled?

The 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models that were manufactured between March 7, 2012 and November 12, 2012 may have been assembled with a faulty exhaust system causing the tailpipe to separate from the muffler. Knowing this is not congruent with the high standard of quality that is bestowed with Porsche parts, the automaker issued a recall for 2,263 models that may have been manufactured with this part.

If you purchased either of these models with the optional sport exhaust and did not receive a recall notice, fear not. Your vehicle has not been recalled.
