Porsche Ensures Optimal Performance and Safety with Latest Recall

When you purchase a new Porsche model from Brian Harris Porsche, you expect both peak performance and equally impressive safety. That's the reason why we're so impressed with the German automaker's latest recall, which ensures drivers of the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera 4 will continue to get the most out of their driving experiences.

But why is Porsche recalling these models?

911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models manufactured from March 7, 2012 through November 12, 2012 may have been equipped with an exhaust system that features a tailpipe that may separate from the muffler. Knowing this doesn't fall in line with the high standard of quality associated with Porsche parts, the automaker is recalling all 2,263 models that may have them equipped.

It's worth noting, however, that models equipped with the optional sport exhaust are not included with this recall.

As for what can be done about vehicles that are included: Porsche is instructing dealerships like ours to install a new exhaust system free of charge. This means you won't have to pay a dime for the parts or labor required to fix this issue. All you have to do is simply contact our Porsche service and repair department to schedule an appointment at 12326 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA, 70817.

For our reference and yours: the safety recall number associated with this specific repair is AD01. If you'd like more information on this recall, simply visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website at www.safercar.gov.
