Brian Harris Porsche Has a Look at Porsche 918 Spyder

It's always interesting to see what sort of news you can dig up when going through something seemingly dull like a patent filing. Well, that's exactly what happened in the automotive news community recently, and we all got a potential look at a new Porsche model, the 918 Spyder.

Whenever an automaker intends to build or sell a new vehicle abroad, it usually patents the design and technology onboard. This is particularly the case in China, as Porsche wards off imitators that are known to pop up in the world's most populous nation. Of course, it can also detail some of the changes we might see on the new 918 Spyder, too.

From the look of it, both the headlights and front fenders have been changed up from previous models, giving the Porsche 918 Spyder a polished look in front. Also, it appears that the door latches have been switched as well. They are now vertical instead of horizontal.

All of this change is certainly interesting to note, and gives us a preview of things to come, but it is by no means final. We'll have to wait for Porsche to officially unveil the 918 Spyder in order to see exactly what the new model looks like. But, there's no harm in checking in with the latest speculation.
