Porsche Celebrates Groundbreaking at New Headquarters

Porsche may be a German automaker, but its commitment to the U.S. market is unparalleled. For months now, news has been circling the web regarding the importer and distributer of exotic sports cars establishing a new headquarters in Georgia. Exciting news to say the least, but developments have been rather hard to come by as of late.

That is, until now. Porsche has finally broken ground at the site of its new headquarters, and construction is well under way. Considering everything that's planned for the new headquarters, Brian Harris Porsche isn't surprised in the least bit to hear it's not anticipated to be completed until the second half of 2014. To be more precise, Porsche plans for its new headquarters to feature the following sections:

  • A technical training center to develop the talents of future Porsche service experts.
  • A museum that covers past and current new Porsche models.
  • And an industry-first 1.6-mile testing track for pushing models like the 911, Cayman and Panamera to their limits.

The most exciting aspect of the new Porsche headquarters is the fact that it's estimated to add a total of 100 jobs to the area. In total, the new facility is expected to house 400 jobs for the company.

"Porsche's presence has been embraced by Atlanta and the state of Georgia for the last 14 years," says Matthias Mueller, President and CEO of Porsche AG. "We're happy to reciprocate the sentiment with this new facility, which contributes to the state's economic development and also adds a bit of glamour to the local community."1
